Tuesday, 18 September 2012 • The IRE gets high-ranking support from the Luxembourgian Prime Minister

After intense contacts between the IRE and the office of the Prime Minister, the membership of Jean-Claude Juncker in the Board of Patrons was confirmed yesterday through a personal letter addressed to Franz Schausberger, Chairman of the IRE. Schausberger, currently in Moldavia at a CORLEAP meeting of the EU, emphasized in a short statement the decision of Juncker: «It equals a recognition of our work on the highest political level in Europe. Since the founding in 2004, the IRE is supported by important personalities from politics and society. They identify themselves with the principles and activities of the IRE through a public declaration. Up to now, several high-ranking decision makers have supported the institute, amongst others Helmut Kohl, Hubert von Goisern and Karel Schwarzenberg.
